Macnica signs urban development collaboration agreement with Saito City utilizing advanced technology - Promoting urban development by solving local issues and increasing the number of visitors -

Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Saito City, Miyazaki Prefecture (Mayor: Hashida Kazumi) to develop towns using advanced technology.

Macnica is currently supporting the creation of services that utilize autonomous driving vehicles through events and autonomous driving demonstration experiments on public roads using next-generation mobility, which is being conducted in Saito City, the first of its kind in Miyazaki Prefecture.

To further accelerate and expand these efforts, Macnica and Saito City have now concluded a partnership agreement with Saito City, the first such agreement in Miyazaki Prefecture. In addition to demonstrating and implementing next-generation mobility, the two companies will promote diverse urban development that utilizes DX solutions to revitalize various industries, including agriculture and smart cities.

Macnica will utilize its extensive experience in urban development and various DX solutions to promote the smart city in Saito City, including the operation of autonomous driving vehicles in Saito City, autonomous driving technical support necessary for driving, data acquisition and effectiveness verification from driving, as well as data collaboration including mobility and the creation of MaaS business. In addition to providing the necessary technical support for driving, acquiring data obtained from driving and verifying the effects of driving. Through these efforts, we will create new value by upgrading social services and solving problems, thereby contributing to the creation of a city that enriches the lives of its citizens.
