Optimizing capital investment through transponder function integration
To keep up with the rapid increase in communication traffic caused by AI/ML, IoT, metaverse applications, broadband services, etc., service providers need more advanced solutions to enhance the bandwidth of their access edge networks. Flextune™ automatic wavelength configuration autonomously searches for the right wavelengths to enable end-to-end connectivity across DWDM networks, enabling zero-touch provisioning, speeding up installation and reducing engineer error, resulting in significant operational savings.

By implementing the Coherent 100G ZR QSFP28-DCO optical transceiver in Furukawa Electric's 100GbE-compatible multi-service router FITELnet FX2, we achieved 100Gbps long-distance optical transmission in a real-world environment.
