MAKERS / STEAM

Offer program to Makers

In recent years, there has been a growing demand for cutting-edge sensors, microcontrollers, and wireless devices for the IoT market, especially from venture companies and individuals utilizing new manufacturing methods such as 3D printers and open source hardware, known as "makers" in the development of electronic devices. In particular, there is a huge demand for development kit solutions that can be easily used by software engineers and web designers, as well as engineers specializing in traditional hardware development.

Therefore, Macnica has launched Mpression for MAKERS to provide comprehensive solutions to these new "Makers" by leveraging Macnica 's cutting-edge semiconductor device-related technology and product capabilities as a technology trading company.

Commitment to Maker Faire

In order to support Makers, Mpression has continued to support Maker Faire, a festival of craftsmanship by individuals, as a sponsor since 2015.

As a workshop planned by the organizer, every year we plan and operate the soldering class "Learn To Solder", which was previously operated by Google Inc. at Maker Faire Bay Area. It is one of the most popular contents experienced by more than 1500 participants in total.

At the sponsor booth, we have offered a wide range of workshops, from high-end users such as IoT, FPGA, and artificial intelligence, to workshops for children such as fan customization, with a full house every year.

We will continue to support Makers in every possible way.

Initiatives for STEAM education

Mpression operates the STEAM educational project "Tsumiki Project" in collaboration with publishers, model companies, and robotics ventures. We provide educational content that allows even small children to create a full-fledged robot from scratch and program it via Bluetooth to move it. Until now, we have had a wide range of children experience it at the Itabashi Ward Education and Science Museum, after-school daycare facilities, and nearby elementary schools.
