Macnica begins selling "MemryX," an edge AI solution - An edge AI accelerator that combines high performance, high accuracy AI inference with low power consumption and low cost -

Macnica, Inc. (Head office: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica") announced today that it has entered into a distributorship agreement with MemryX, Inc. (Head office: Michigan, USA; CEO: Keith Kressin; hereinafter referred to as "MemryX") to provide edge AI solutions specialized in AI inference to the Japanese market.

■Increasing market needs for edge AI
With the rapid evolution of AI technology, the need for real-time AI processing is rapidly increasing in industrial sites and social infrastructure. At the same time, the amount of video and image data that needs to be processed is also increasing rapidly, and when AI inference is performed in the cloud, concerns arise about communication delays, the associated costs, and privacy issues.
