Silicon Labs CP210x: How do I connect the USB Type-C connector to the CP2102N?
"USB Type-C SpecificationRelease 1.3.pdf" available from the USB.org website will be helpful.
According to these explanations,
- Dp1 and Dp2 are short (from Notes.2)
- Dn1 and Dn2 are short (from Notes.2)
- SBU1 and SBU2 are open (from Notes.3)
- All VBUS shorted (from Notes.4)
- All GND shorted (From Notes.5)
becomes.
Also, regarding CC1, there is information on Silicon Labs' community forum,
- CC1 is pulled down with 5.1kΩ (from Silicon Labs community forum)
becomes.
Based on the above, the connection between the Type-C connector and the CP2102N is as shown in the figure below.
Silicon Labs does not have a recommended circuit for connection with the Type-C connector, and the evaluation board does not use a Type-C connector. Thank you for your kind judgment.
