The RX family is a 32-bit microcontroller equipped with Renesas' original RX core.
The four series available are the flagship RX700 series, which is the fastest and most highly functional, the standard RX600 series, the RX200 series that achieves the best mix of low power consumption and high performance, and the ultra-low power consumption entry model RX100 series. They can be used in small to large scale applications in industry, home appliances, office automation, metering, measurement, etc.

As of December 2013, cumulative shipments have exceeded 1.5 billion units, making it a proven product.
