Product Summary

The RL78/F15 microcontroller inherits the low power consumption of the RL78/F13 and F14, while enabling various motor control with timer RD for motor control, D/A converter and comparator. It is pin-compatible and software-compatible with the RL78/F14, allowing seamless system expansion. It also supports functional safety by incorporating RAM ECC, stack pointer monitor, A/D converter test function, etc. There is a wide product lineup with Flash ROM: 128 to 512 KB, packages: 48 to 144 pins, and in-vehicle communication functions such as LIN, 2-channel CAN, and IEBus controller. This makes it ideal for various vehicle control applications such as DC or BLDC motor control, HVAC, and lighting, which require strong cost competitiveness.
