Power Integrations' gate drivers are a product line for driving IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs. ■ Gate Driver IC (SCALE-iDriver)
This product consists of a standalone gate driver IC and is used when designing the gate driver circuit from scratch in-house, including gate resistors, protection circuits, and isolated power supplies. It is suitable for design policies that require detailed optimization of circuit configuration and gate conditions, and the ability to manage the gate driver circuit as an in-house design.

■ Driver Core
This product incorporates basic functions such as galvanic isolation, protection, and isolated DC/DC power supplies in addition to the gate driver IC. It is suitable for situations where you want to avoid building the gate driver circuit from scratch, but still want to design the surrounding circuits and implementation methods in-house. This product line is based on the idea of replacing part of the circuit design with off-the-shelf products.

■ Completed board (Plug & Play)
This gate driver board comes pre-assembled, including gate resistors and protection circuits, and is designed and verified for compatible power modules. It's ideal for situations where you want to reduce design effort and risk around the gate driver by adopting a configuration designed and verified by the manufacturer, rather than designing the gate driver circuitry yourself.
