PS8209A
Low power HDMI™ level shifter and redriver. Supports both AC-coupled and DC-coupled TMDS™ input signals with data rates up to 6.0Gbps. Device operation and configuration, including redriver equalization settings, can be controlled through pin settings or the I2C bus. Automatic power-down and squelch allow flexible power management.

PS8409A
An HDMI™ repeater or retimer that fully supports HDMI™ 2.0 by eliminating jitter and supporting up to 6.0Gbps TMDS™ data rates. This device integrates a jitter-tolerant TMDS™ receiver and a jitter-cleaning TMDS™ transmitter for HDMI™ repeater applications. It removes both data and clock jitter and timing skew from the TMDS™ input and provides a compliant, very low jitter HDMI™ output.
Ideal for source, sink, and repeater device applications that require TMDS™ data skew removal as well as jitter removal from TMDS™ clocks and data. Such requirements may exist at the source to remove Tx jitter and/or induced media (transmission path) jitter to meet HDMI™ output jitter requirements, especially at high TMDS™ clock rates . It can also be used as a repeater near the input connector in an HDMI™ repeater or sink to improve receiver performance margins. Signal integrity can be further optimized using programmable input equalization and output pre-emphasis controls.
It can also be used as a dual-mode DisplayPort™ level shifter on the motherboard or graphics card, or within a Type2 dual-mode DisplayPort™ (DP++) cable adapter. This device includes a VESA® dual-mode DisplayPort™ Type2 cable adapter DDC resistor and also includes an AUX to I2C bridge, allowing you to use DisplayPort™ AUX on the source input side. Type2 registers enable the GPU to use standard dual-mode DisplayPort™ Type2 adapter drivers to change device settings and identify capabilities.
