PS8330

A 1-to-1 DisplayPort™ version 1.2 repeater or redriver that supports dual-mode DisplayPort™ operation.

Specifically designed for the faster data rates of DisplayPort™ 1.2.
・Link speed 5.4Gbps (HBR2), 2.7Gbps (HBR), and 1.62Gbps (RBR)
・AUX channel rate 720 Mbps (high-speed AUX) and 1Mbps (standard AUX)

Designed for use with DisplayPort™ source systems near the output receptacle, the use of an automatic equalizer eliminates signal loss due to internal system distribution. Clean, DisplayPort™-compliant output is regenerated by the output driver. Uses field-proven AUX channel interception (snooping) to enable response to cable drive requirements exhibited by sink devices during link training. Supports both I2C and pin-enabled control options and supports automated source system compliance testing.

PS8463

A dual-mode DisplayPort™ repeater or retimer that eliminates signal jitter. Dual-mode functionality fully supports DisplayPort™ v1.4 up to HBR3 link rates and HDMI™ 2.0 up to 6.0Gbps TMDS™ data rates. It integrates a jitter-tolerant DisplayPort™ and TMDS receiver and a jitter-eliminating DisplayPort™ and TMDS transmitter. Suitable for DisplayPort™, dual-mode DisplayPort™, and DisplayPort™ Alt Mode applications. Removes data and clock jitter and timing skew from DisplayPort™ or TMDS inputs and provides very low jitter DisplayPort™ or HDMI™ outputs.

Ideal for repeater device applications including source, sink, and docking devices. To meet DisplayPort™ and HDMI™ output jitter requirements, there is a requirement for a jitter cleaner to remove Tx jitter or induced media (transmission path) jitter, especially at higher DisplayPort™ link rates or higher TMDS clock rates. Commonly present in sources. It can also be used as a repeater near the input connector in a DisplayPort™ docking device or sink to improve receiver performance margins. Signal integrity can be further optimized using programmable input equalization and output pre-emphasis controls.

PS8463E

Dual-mode DisplayPort™ retimer that removes signal jitter. Dual-mode functionality fully supports DisplayPort™ v1.4a up to HBR3 link rates and HDMI™ 2.0 up to 6.0Gbps TMDS data rates. It integrates a jitter-tolerant DisplayPort™ and TMDS receiver and a jitter cleaning retimer in front of the DisplayPort™ and TMDS transmitter. Suitable for DisplayPort™, dual-mode DisplayPort™, and DisplayPort™ Alt Mode applications. Removes data and clock timing jitter and skew from DisplayPort™ or TMDS inputs and provides very low jitter DisplayPort™ or HDMI™ outputs.

When used with native DisplayPort™ signaling, the main link output swing and pre-emphasis level respond to link training between the DisplayPort™ video source and downstream sink by using transparent repeater behavior. For LTTPR (Link Training Tunable PHY Repeater) operation, monitor the DisplayPort™ AUX channel to snoop LTTPR DPCD register transactions.

Supports dual-mode AC-coupled TMDS signaling when used with dual-mode upstream sources. This allows support for DVI or HDMI™ sink devices through the use of downstream level shifting devices such as dual-mode DP to HDMI™ adapters.

Ideal for repeater device applications including source, sink, and docking devices. Using a retimer to remove Tx jitter and induced media (transmission path) jitter to meet DisplayPort™ and HDMI™ output jitter requirements, especially for high DisplayPort™ link rates or high TMDS clock rates. "Jitter cleaning" requirements commonly exist for video sources. It can also be used as a repeater near the input connector in a DisplayPort™ docking device or sink to improve receiver performance margins. Signal integrity can be further optimized using programmable input equalization and output pre-emphasis controls.

PS8353

Bidirectional 4-lane linear red driver designed for DisplayPort (DP) 2.1a, supporting up to DP UHBR20 per lane. It can be used on both source and sink side and with active DP cables. It has a built-in programmable equalizer to re-tune the DP signal, allowing flexible setting of EQ and DC gain via strap pins to correct the signal for different scenarios. It can automatically adjust the direction of the DP signal by monitoring the voltage level of the Hot Plug Detect (HPD) pin.

It is also energy efficient and supports DP2.1a link power management. It detects sideband signals from DP mode (AUX) to optimize configuration and recognize power saving modes. It operates from a 1.8V supply and is available in a compact, high-performance QFN package. The device features an automatic power saving mode where the channel automatically enters power saving mode after it has been idle for a predefined period of time. The channel immediately exits this mode and resumes normal repeater functionality upon detecting an active signal. This feature is especially useful for power-sensitive applications.
