Seminar overview

This is an announcement for Nisshinbo Microdevices' popular webinar series, which consistently attracts over 300 participants.
This time, we'll be presenting a special episode that focuses on "modular products" for the first time in this series.

In the design of typical 48/24V power supplies for industrial equipment, voltage tolerance margin, heat generation, and assembly effort are major challenges.
In this seminar, we will introduce a non-isolated DC/DC module that uses GaN FETs and achieves a maximum output of 20A as one solution to this problem.

This module's modular structure, which allows for implementation simply by "placing" the module, contributes to shortening the startup period and reducing design man-hours.
Part one will outline the basic concepts and market trends of DC/DC modules.
Part two will cover the features of the DC/DC module, measured data (efficiency and temperature), and performance comparisons with other high-voltage DC/DC module products.
Expected applicationWe will explain the concept in an easy-to-understand way.

Furthermore, this seminar includes live lectures and real-time Q&A with engineers, making it a structure that allows even busy engineers to efficiently learn while focusing on key points.
We look forward to your participation.

Date and Time: Wednesday, April 8, 2026, 13:30-14:30

• Format/Tool: Web seminar / ZOOM

Recommended for those people!

Power supply/circuit designers who are concerned about the voltage tolerance margin of 48/24V systems.
・ For those who want to first evaluate the heat generation, efficiency, and mounting area of existing DC/DC converters.
- Evaluation/verification personnel who want to determine whether replacement is feasible in a short period of time.
・ For those who want to achieve both stable design and shorter lead times in industrial machinery embedded control boards.
• Designers of data center/AI servers, industrial FA equipment, and robot applications.

Instructor/Instructor Profile

Sales Headquarters, Planning and Sales Department, EM Planning and Sales Section
Shota Shimizu

For about five years after joining the company, I was involved in product planning for power supply ICs, mainly in charge of product planning for step-down DC/DC and AC/DC converters.
We provide technical support while working closely with our clients on their development themes, gaining practical experience along the way.

Last year, I was appointed as the main person in charge of the DC/DC module product field, and together with the development team, I have been involved in the planning and development of high-voltage DC/DC module products, which is the theme of today's seminar, and I am still in that position today.
Lately, I've started weight training to improve both my physical and mental health.
