The MachXO5-NX is an FPGA built on a 28 nm FD-SOI process, which is the platform for next-generation lattice FPGAs.
Among the Nexus series (NX series), the specifications are the most suitable for industrial equipment due to the following features.

Enhanced soft error tolerance by FD-SOI process
In products that require stable continuous operation, it is necessary to suppress the occurrence of soft errors (bit corruption in the SRAM area).
FD-SOI can reduce the soft error rate by about 1/100 compared to FinFET.
Even if a soft error occurs, it can be detected and corrected by the SEC and SED functions.

Securing a large number of 3.3VI/Os for use in industrial equipment
With the miniaturization of processes, recent logic devices tend to be limited to 3.3VI/O.
MachXO5-NX can secure up to 252 lines of 3.3VI/O, so there are no design limitations due to interfaces with various DRAMs and microcomputers.
Especially in industrial equipment, there are many cases where a lot of 3.3VI/O is required, so the XO5-NX can be implemented in such systems as well.

Built-in flash memory for configuration
When configuring externally, SPI, I2C, and I3C can also be used, so it is possible to design according to the system configuration.
Secures 15Mb of flash space for users to use freely
MachXO5-NX has a user-free flash area (UFM) separate from the flash area for configuration.
With 15Mbits of memory, it can be used for post-shipment operation by storing a large amount of fault logs as well as various sensor settings.
