Knowles' StackiCap™ series significantly reduces board area for equivalent capacitance value when board space is limited. For example, a standard 150nF chip requires 100 nF over a conventional8060Now available in a much smaller 3640 size.

This unique patented structure, combined with FlexiCap™ (special electrodes), further improves reliability, making the StackiCap™ series suitable for applications such as power supplies, lighting, aerospace electronics, and high voltage applications where large amounts of capacitance are required.

Furthermore, recent developments have made it possible to significantly reduce the cost of these components compared to conventional stack capacitors and leaded capacitors, and they are increasingly being adopted for consumer and automotive applications.
