This month's featured products: Overview
Analog Devices offers a wide range of products with features that are useful in new designs.
On this page, we will introduce products that have clear features and applications and are worth knowing about during the design process as "Featured Products of the Month."
In August 2026, we will be featuring the following two products:
・ 4-channel SPST analog switches achieving ultra-low leakage current in the picoampere range.
・ A sequencer/supervisor that supports power monitoring and sequence control for up to 8 systems.
Featured Product ①: ADG2712
Product Summary
The ADG2712 is a 4-channel SPST (single-pole single-throw) analog switch that achieves ultra-low leakage performance in the picoampere range. Designed for measurement instruments, data acquisition systems, and sensor interfaces that handle high-impedance signals, it can switch minute signals with high precision. It also contributes to miniaturization and improved reliability as an alternative to mechanical relays.
Main features
• Picoampere-class ultra-low leakage current (±0.3pA typ @ 25℃, ±8pA typ @ 85℃, ±56pA typ @ 125℃)
• Low resistance design with an on-resistance of 9.1Ω (typ)
- Supports single power supply: +1.08V to +5.5V, and dual power supply: ±1.08V to ±2.75V.
- Rail-to-rail signal range compatible
• Supports 1.8V and 3V JEDEC compliant logic inputs.
Specifications are set for +5V, +3.3V, +1.8V, and ±2.5V.
• Uses a 16-pin 2mm x 2mm LGA package.
Design advantages
The ADG2712 is an analog switch that combines ultra-low leakage current and low on-resistance, offering the following advantages in the design of high-precision measuring instruments and sensor interfaces:
• With an ultra-low leakage current of ±0.3pA typ (25℃), it can reduce error factors in high-impedance circuits and minute current measurements.
- Maintains low leakage performance of ±56pA typ even in a 125℃ environment, enabling stable measurement accuracy over a wide temperature range.
• The 9.1Ω typ on-resistance enables high-precision signal switching with minimal signal loss.
- By using it as a replacement for mechanical relays, it can contribute to miniaturization, increased reliability, and longer lifespan.
- Rail-to-rail signal range support allows application to measurement systems handling a wide input signal range.
• Supports single-supply operation (+1.08V to +5.5V) and dual-supply operation (±1.08V to ±2.75V), allowing for flexible integration into various power supply architectures.
• 1.8V / 3V JEDEC compliant logic inputs facilitate connection to MCUs and FPGAs.
• The small 2mm x 2mm LGA package reduces the mounting area.
Assumed application
• Measuring instruments
• Biosensor measurement
Electrochemical measurements
• Data collection system
• Automated testing equipment

Featured Product ②: ADM6840
Product Summary
The ADM6840 is a sequencer/supervisor that supports monitoring and sequence control of up to eight power rails. In addition to sequence control during power-up, it also supports reverse or simultaneous power-down control, supporting the stable operation of increasingly complex multi-power systems. Furthermore, the number of monitored and controlled devices can be flexibly expanded through daisy-chaining.
Main features
- Supports monitoring and sequence control of up to 8 power rails.
• Wide operating voltage range: 2.7V to 15V
- Supports reverse or simultaneous power-down control
• Daisy-chain connectivity allows for expansion of monitoring and control channels.
- Capacitor-adjustable sequence delay setting
• Power-on threshold (V) configurable with a resistor SEQON_TH)
• Factory-configurable power-off threshold option (V SEQOFF_TH)
• Voltage monitoring threshold accuracy ±0.8% (V MON_TH)
- Equipped with a POK output for system reset.
- Equipped with a DONE output to notify of sequence completion.
- Bidirectional FAULT input/output enables anomaly detection and protection functions.
Operating temperature range: -40°C to +125°C
Design advantages
The ADM6840 contributes to improved system reliability and reduced design burden in the design of FPGAs, SoCs, communication equipment, industrial equipment, and other devices that use multiple power supplies, by integrating power sequence control and monitoring functions.
- Up to 8 power supply monitoring and sequence control channels allow for centralized management of the startup/shutdown of multiple devices.
- The reverse power-down function reduces the risk of malfunctions and device damage when the power is turned off.
- Integrates power monitoring and sequencing functions into a single device, contributing to a reduction in external monitoring and control circuits.
• High-precision voltage monitoring with an accuracy of ±0.8% ensures reliable detection of voltage anomalies.
- Capacitor-based sequence delay settings allow for flexible startup sequences tailored to system requirements.
- Daisy-chain connectivity allows for support of large-scale multi-rail power systems with more than 8 rails.
- POK output makes it easy to implement reset control of MCUs and FPGAs in conjunction with the power supply state.
• FAULT input/output allows for easy configuration of protection actions in the event of an anomaly and inter-system coordination.
• Wide operating voltage range of 2.7V to 15V allows for application to a variety of power supply architectures.
