IoT/DX elemental technology research

Overview

At Mpression, we also conduct research and studies into elemental technologies to solve social issues in accordance with the times. For example, we are developing functional/demonstrative PoCs using semiconductor applications that leverage Macnica 's strengths, proposing new ways to use semiconductors for IoT/DX, and creating new demand. We are researching and developing not only electronics terminals using cutting-edge sensors, but also practical CPS (Cyber Physical Systems) that combine Cloud/Systems.

Case Overview
toilet management system We have developed a PoC (prototype) that can collectively manage and monitor the occupancy status of the toilet and the remaining amount of toilet paper/soap water. By using this, it is possible to improve efficiency by eliminating the need for regular maintenance of the toilet and having cleaning staff perform maintenance only when necessary.
Corona measures We have developed a non-contact switch PoC (prototype) that can easily replace existing electrical switches. By using this, you can keep the replacement cost to a minimum while implementing virus countermeasures for the switches in the common areas, and you can reduce the cost of regular disinfection.
Material/Shape Free Touch Switch By using a film-type sensor switch substrate on the back side of the material, it is possible to turn the surface of materials such as wood and marble into touch switches. In addition, since it is possible to correspond to various shapes other than flat, it is possible to develop highly unique switches with elaborate designs.
Size/price automatic measurement handy terminal

We have developed a PoC (prototype) that uses a distance sensor to instantaneously measure the total value of three sides of a package and automatically calculates the transportation fee. As an example, you can free yourself from the trouble of manual measurement when picking up parcels for home delivery, and you can improve the efficiency of your work.

Office air quality control robot

We have developed a PoC (prototype) that calls attention when an abnormality is detected in the environment by installing sensors (CO2, organic gas, temperature and humidity, illuminance, atmospheric pressure) on a robot that patrols the office. This robot can be linked to a network and automatically control air conditioning/ventilation.

Inventory/residual quantity management system It is a system that detects the weight of products by laying them on the shelves of warehouses and retail stores and monitors the amount of inventory. In addition, an alert will be sent by e-mail etc. when it reaches an arbitrary remaining amount. This makes it possible to improve the efficiency of inventory replenishment and inventory. Furthermore, based on data such as weather, day of the week, temperature, and number of visitors, we are conducting research to enable advanced inventory forecasting by linking with AI.
