Overview

Crystal Oscillators (XOs) are essential ICs for high-performance electronic devices and are used in a wide range of products from low-end applications (e.g. real-time clocks) to high-end applications (e.g. complex radios, GPS). . In particular, IoT devices in recent years are required to support high-speed, large-capacity communication and low latency, and the requirements for crystal oscillators are becoming more sophisticated.

To meet these demands, since 2012, Texas Instruments (TI) has been developing its own Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) resonator technology for demanding applications. , the industry's highest performance jitter cleaner (LMK05318 family) and commercial crystal-less wireless microcomputers (CC2652RB family).

TI has released a new BAW-based oscillator, the LMK6 series, by making use of the technological capabilities it has cultivated over the years.
