Small package linear regulator with dual outputs with 300mA output current

The “NCP151” is a dual output, small package linear regulator with an output current of 300mA.

This time, we will explain the following four features of the NCP151 product.

1. Improved efficiency due to low quiescent current and low drop voltage

A low 100uA (typ) quiescent current reduces no-load power consumption.


In addition, the low drop voltage of 370mV (typ) at Vout=1.8V, Io=300mA and 210mV (typ) at Vout=2.8V, Io=300mA can keep the potential difference between input and output small. Therefore, it contributes to efficiency improvement.

2. Excellent noise filtering effect due to high noise rejection ratio (PSRR)

This product features a high PSRR value of 70dB. This high PSRR makes it possible to suppress noise and ripple from the input power supply.

3. 1mm*1mm XDFN4 small package

It is a small package of 1mm*1mm and can output 2 voltages.

 

Therefore, the board area can be reduced when used in portable equipment.

4. Selectable discharge function and slew rate

With this product, it is possible to select whether or not to have a discharge function when the output voltage is turned off.

Also, the rise slew rate of the output voltage is 100mV/us (typ) for normal rise for the NCP151A version, and 30mV/us (typ) for the NCP151C version, which is a low-speed version and can be selected.

A slower version can be used, for example, in some surveillance cameras that require a delayed power-on.
