*1. Nisshinbo Microdevices: Established in 2022 through the business integration of Ricoh Electronic Devices and New Japan Radio.
It is a Japanese analog manufacturer.

If you are a designer of equipment that uses a 48V power supply, do you have any of the following concerns?

Long standby times consume a lot of battery power.

With high efficiency, low EMI, and flexible design, it is ideal for AGVs, surveillance cameras, communication equipment, data center equipment, and more.

80V withstand voltage provides an overwhelming safety margin

 High efficiency, space saving,

Cost reduction

Maximize battery life

Communications and sensors
Prevents malfunctions

Eliminate EOL risk
10-year long-term supply

Simplifying the protection circuit

Unique synchronous rectification control (direct step-down without intermediate bus) maintains high efficiency across the entire load range, from light to heavy

Light load, high efficiency control minimizes power loss during standby, reducing power consumption during communication standby and sensor standby.

The SSCG function and FET selection disperse noise and suppress EMI, making it easier to comply with EMC tests and preparing for future strengthened standards.

Due to sudden EOL,
No need for sudden design changes or re-evaluations!
Safe for industrial and automotive applications.

Issue 1: "We want a highly efficient IC that can directly step down the voltage from a 48V battery..."

The "R1260" is a highly efficient IC that can directly step down a 48V battery to 3.3V/5.0V.
By reducing the voltage step-down from the conventional two-step to a single step, the number of parts can be reduced, leading to cost reduction and reduced man-hours.

Issue 2. Long standby times consume a lot of battery power

"We need a power supply design that is highly efficient even under light loads. We want to reduce power consumption during standby."

The "light load high efficiency control" function minimizes power loss during standby and extends operating time. It also reduces power consumption during communication standby and sensor standby, maximizing battery life.

In PWM/VFM automatic switching mode, VFM control is used during light loads, achieving high efficiency even under light loads.

Issue 3. EMI noise causes communication and sensor malfunctions...

"EMI countermeasures are necessary. Controlling noise sources and complying with EMC standards are required."

The SSCG function and FET selection disperse noise, suppress EMI, and prevent communication and sensor malfunctions, making it easier to comply with EMC tests.

Spread spectrum function (spread rate: -7.2%) reduces EMI noise
