In recent years, ID security attack routes are widely targeted from the intrusion to lateral movement phase. Have you ever heard of the term "Zero Standing Privilege (ZSP)"? It may not be a familiar term in Japan, but it is actually gaining attention in the world of ID security. Traditionally, "Standing Privilege" literally means a state in which a privileged ID always exists, and the mainstream security measures are to use privileged ID management tools such as PAM (Privileged Access Manager). However, even if such PAM products are used, the privileged ID itself does not disappear from the target system. In contrast, in the world of "ZSP", it refers to a state in which a privileged ID does not exist on the system or cannot be used. By having the ID exist only when the user uses it, it is possible to reduce the risk of abuse to as close to zero as possible. In this seminar, we will explain the new concept of "ZSP" from scratch and introduce how CyberArk Secure Cloud Access (SCA) can achieve ZSP with a demonstration.
