yes. For hard switching, the turn-on dv/dt slope can be effectively controlled by the gate resistance. A slower turn-off requires a higher gate resistance. However, to achieve high efficiency and low EMI at the same time, it is recommended to use a small RC snubber across the drain-source of the device.
