In the Assignment Editor, set the following logic options for the registers you want to limit the number of fanouts.

| Value | Maximum desired number of fanouts |
By having the compiler automatically generate duplicate registers, the Fitter can place these new registers closer to the destination logic to minimize routing delays. This is expected to improve performance.
In addition to the method of constraining with the GUI described above, it is also possible to constrain by incorporating attributes into the source code as shown in the document below.
