Macnica Supports Kyoto Research Park's Digital Transformation Project - Powerfully Promoting the Transformation of Innovation Hub Using Value Co-Creation Platform "Re:Alize" -

Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that it has provided support for Kyoto Research Park Corporation's (headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kadowaki Atsuko; hereinafter referred to as Kyoto Research Park) DX project by using Macnica 's original value co-creation platform "Re:Alize *".

Background
Kyoto Research Park is a company that provides a variety of spaces and exchange mechanisms at a base for creating new industries, where R&D companies and industrial support organizations in Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City gather, with the aim of "creating a place for emergence." As of September 2023, coworking spaces, offices, rental laboratories, and Kyoto's largest privately run laboratory space, which has been in operation for over 30 years, are being used by 524 companies and over 6,000 players.

The company has been promoting an internal DX project since 2020. At the time, there were significant delays in digitalization, including a lack of internal communication tools, paper-based business operations, and inefficient information sharing. There was also a lack of resources to visualize and improve business flows, making it difficult for the company to promote DX on its own.

To overcome this situation, Kyoto Research Park introduced Macnica 's original value co-creation platform, "Re:Alize."
Macnica used its know-how, based on a track record of supporting DX in over 500 cases, to visualize business processes and collect and analyze 120 on-site issues to identify the root causes of the issues. It also supported the DX project by working closely with the customer on-site to improve the issues.

■ Effects of the initiative
1. Identifying issues and implementing concrete measures:
We have created a cross-company environment that brings together members from each department in a small, vertically-structured organization.
By sorting through over 120 issues across the organization and consolidating them into three main improvement measures, we were able to clarify priorities and resolve issues efficiently.

2. Smooth collaboration with the field:
We have established a system to digitize on-site issues and provide feedback to management.
Through multiple workshops, we were able to achieve smooth collaboration with the field.

3. Eliminate management concerns:
By incorporating indicators such as labor productivity and employee satisfaction in addition to costs and profits, we were able to dispel management's concerns and strengthen their trust in the project.

■ Future plans
1. Manager education:
Strengthening management training so that key people who participated in the project can spread their know-how within the organization.
In addition, by providing opportunities to young people, we promote the growth of the entire organization.

2. Improving the marketing environment
In order to differentiate from other companies, we will improve our marketing environment. From 2024 to 2025, we will select and develop leaders to support continuous growth.

3. Establishment of tools and data utilization
As the introduction of various tools gets underway, the first goal is to stabilize the system. At the same time, the company will utilize data that will form the foundation of its operations and will consider early collaboration targets to further improve operational efficiency.

Macnica will continue to support the promotion of DX projects at Kyoto Research Park and accompany the company as it strives to further develop its innovation hub.
