Smart Robotics, Stella Link, and Macnica jointly enter the electronic signage robot market - Demonstrate viewership rate 6 to 10 times higher than fixed type, sell initial model, use location information to guide customers to stores -

Smart Robotics Co., Ltd. (Location: 2-4-6 Higashikanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, S-GATE Akihabara 8th floor, Representative Board Director: Takuya Saito), Stellar Link Co., Ltd. (Location: 4-7 Kudanminami, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) 19, Tsuboya Building 3rd floor, President: Yasuhiro Maeda) and Macnica (Address: 1-6-3 Shin-Yokohama, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama City, Macnica Building 1, President: Kazumasa Hara) are jointly developing digital signage. (Electronic signage) We will enter the robot market. In a demonstration test conducted at Haneda Airport Garden in Ota Ward, Tokyo from October 6th (Friday) to October 9th (Monday), the viewership rate was 6 to 10 times higher than that of fixed digital signage. We will start selling the model "AdRobot". The price of the initial model varies depending on the specifications, ranging from 8.5 million yen to 9.5 million yen. We plan to further improve the level of perfection and begin full-scale sales in April 2024. In the future, we plan to add functions such as remote customer service using avatars (virtual space characters) and a payment system, and we anticipate that the system will be used for attracting customers to commercial facilities, as well as guiding and monitoring operations during disasters using remote control.

This digital signage robot combines Smart Robotics' artificial intelligence (AI) camera-equipped robot with an autonomous 50-inch large display, and StellaLink's cloud-based distribution system's digital signage content and various cloud services. We use location information to provide optimal advertising guidance and guide you to stores. In addition to acting as a sales agent for the initial model, Macnica is also considering providing sensors and cameras and integrated analysis of content distribution information in preparation for full-scale sales.

Smart Robotics was responsible for the hardware and robot control/management system, and Stellar Link was responsible for the content display system, distribution system, and various cloud services. Programs and software work together over the web. The AI camera detects the person looking at the robot and approaches it. The AI determines gender and approximate age, as well as remembers how many people watched it and how long each person watched it. In a demonstration test at Haneda Airport Garden, advertising content from 13 stores was distributed by location using cloud-based distribution. A similar AI camera was installed at one fixed digital signage location, and the viewership rates for viewing times of 0.001 seconds or longer and 1 second or longer were investigated. As a result, the viewership rating of the robot (measured only on the rear of the two front and rear displays) was 9.84 times higher than that of the fixed type when the viewership was longer than 0.001 seconds, and 6.86 times when the viewership was longer than 1 second. It was confirmed.

In June 2022, Smart Robotics launched a joint project with Docomo CS Kanagawa Branch (Nishi-ku, Yokohama City) to develop a hybrid (autonomous, remote mode) guidance robot to help prevent the COVID-19 in Kanagawa Prefecture. It was selected as a support project and we have been proceeding with its development. In the future, Stellar Link will exhibit the robot at the "Industrial Exchange Exhibition 2023" held at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo for three days from November 20th (Monday) to November 22nd (Wednesday), and will explore needs.
