  • A minimum of 5GB of available disk space is required during the Splunk installation (including Forwarder).
  • The above minimum hardware specs are for a single configuration (physical).
  • RAID 0 or 1+0 is recommended for hard disk redundancy.
  • The minimum hardware specifications differ depending on the customer's environment, such as cluster configuration and large-scale environment.
  • Splunk can also run on virtual machines, but performance degradation is a concern.
