Improve network security level
Secure Shell

OpenText Secure Shell is a security toolset that comprehensively prevents leakage of confidential information within an organization by encrypting network communication between servers and clients using SSH (Secure Shell) and performing highly reliable user authentication.

By installing Secure Shell, users can prevent security breaches such as unauthorized intrusion, eavesdropping, spoofing, and data falsification by malicious third parties.

Secure Shell can provide services not only for OpenText (formerly Hummingbird) software products, but also for 3rd party software products. Therefore, it is possible to provide a highly reliable and secure network environment to more users.

Secure Shell

Overview/Features

Secure Shell consists of the following security components.

[Secure Shell]

It uses the SSH protocol to encrypt network communications such as X11 and FTP, and to perform secure user authentication.

  • Supports SSH2 protocol (SSH-2)!
  • Blowfish, 3DES(Triple DES), CAST128-CBC, Arcfour, and AES encryption algorithms can be selected!
  • Various authentication methods such as RSA authentication and DSA authentication can be selected!
  • SSH tunneling of X11 forwarding (X11 forwarding) and port forwarding (port forwarding) is possible!
  • Using an authentication agent can shorten the troublesome passphrase input process!
  • Key creation (ssh-keygen) and management are possible from the GUI-based management tool!
  • Integrates with Exceed and OpenText (formerly Hummingbird) networks (FTP)!

[OpenText Kerberos]

Securely authenticate Telnet, FTP, rlogin, rsh and rcp connections between server and client using private key cryptography.

Integrates with Exceed and OpenText (formerly Hummingbird) networks (FTP)!

SSH is...

SSH (Secure Shell) provides a data security layer such as a user authentication layer that authenticates users on the transport layer and a connection layer that branches parallel communication paths. It is a cryptographic technology program that realizes "multiple communication channels". Provides strong authentication and secure communication to UNIX rlogin, rsh, rcp and X11 sessions, and protects against security breaches such as unauthorized intrusion and eavesdropping.
