Splunk ".conf (dot conf) 2016" participation report DAY2

I participated in Splunk's global user conference ".conf 2016" held in Orlando, Florida, USA from September 26, 2016.

It is the morning of the second day. Due to a large scale event, accommodation is spread across multiple hotels. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the venue. All the people walking are Splunkers. The orange T-shirt is from Splunk's SI company. It's nice to be able to exchange information with Splunkers around the world in my spare time like this.

However, these orange people stand out wherever they go this time. There is a PR effect for your company.

The keynote on the second day is security

I went to the partner booth between sessions. There was a familiar logo of one of our business partners.

The community theater has sessions with partners and users, and as a Splunk user, you can learn more about how to use Splunk here.

There is also a free mini hands-on seminar where you can feel free to try using Splunk in about 30 minutes. If there is a seat available on the spot, you can participate. A Splunk server for the seminar is prepared, and you will touch a few steps on the whiteboard with the instructor. There were many foreigners who were still new to Splunk. If you have any questions, ask them on the spot and they will tell you.

And why is there a game corner at the venue? ? ?

This is a game site measured by Splunk, which uses Splunk to analyze battle content and weapons in real time. It is easy to understand that the image of the weapon is used in the table report.

The afternoon session focused on security. Splunk provides a machine learning App and is establishing a solution to analyze security data with machine learning with Splunk. I was happy that the Japanese docomo logo was included in the case.

There was also a lecture on Recruit's security case. It was a great piece of big data security analysis, such as finding one in a million fraudulent events with Splunk. After the lecture, many people asked questions.

Florida's climate is similar to that of Japan, and as the session ended, it was hit by heavy rain and thunder. The fountain in front of the hotel is also flowing sideways. When you go abroad, you should take measures against the cold, such as clothes that you can put on.

The second night was Japan Night. Splunkers from Japan gathered and had a meal. I met some people for the first time, and I was able to exchange various information.
