Sakuramoto, who handles ordering as part of sales administration, participates in Macnica Expert User as a departmental representative. Furthermore, she also holds a concurrent position in the DX Promotion Department, expanding her scope of activity with a focus on operations.

Q1: What is your current job and what is rewarding about it?

We aim to improve company-wide operational efficiency from a multifaceted perspective.

In the Operations Department, as a team leader, I am responsible for ordering from suppliers, inventory management, accounting management, and reviewing problematic operations. Since there are many cases that need to be processed with short deadlines, I feel a sense of accomplishment when I can prioritize tasks and improve procedures to handle them without delay. I always feel a sense of responsibility because my work involves logistics, which is the core of the business, and accounting, where mistakes are unacceptable. However, the sense of accomplishment I feel when I can contribute to the organization by improving the flow of operations that are complicated and troublesome for many people, and by reducing the workload, is immense.

I also participate in the Macnica Expert User program (*1), working with the semiconductor company to improve company-wide operations and acting as a bridge between my department and other departments. It requires responsible responses and is challenging, but I feel that participating is very worthwhile because I gain knowledge and expand my network with people in other departments.

Furthermore, I also serve in the DX Promotion Department, where I create RPA (Robotic Process Automation) programs. I devise procedures to automate simple tasks, translate them into a system that robots can handle, and I feel a great sense of accomplishment when the workload is reduced after the robots are completed.
I still have a lot to learn about RPA, but I actively gather information by researching RPA use cases while also utilizing internal training content. I always keep in mind the question of "how can this be automated?" and am gaining knowledge and experience through practical work.

Q2: Why did you choose Macnica?

The company has good communication and employees are cooperative with each other.

I chose Macnica because, through the company information sessions and interviews, I felt that the company culture was very open and communicative. When I had lunch with employees at the get-together for prospective employees, I found that many of them were cheerful and easy to talk to, and I was impressed by their cooperative and reliable attitude. Everyone seemed bright and lively, and I remember feeling that it was an environment where I would be accepted for who I am. That impression hasn't changed since I joined the company.

Another attractive aspect of Macnica is its supportive work environment. Most employees return to work after taking maternity or childcare leave, and I feel that there is a strong support system in place for those going on maternity leave and those returning to work. Even with employees working in various arrangements, such as reduced hours, we are able to carry out our work stably. I have been working full-time since joining the company, but my department basically only requires me to come into the office once a week, and I can work from home the rest of the time, so I am able to work without putting too much strain on my body.

One of the best things about Macnica that I've come to appreciate even more since joining the company is that everyone is there to help when you're in trouble, and we support each other.

Q3: An episode that made you grow

An environment where you can steadily advance.

On-the-job training (OJT) began immediately after joining the company, and after about four months, I was asked to try handling tasks independently. I was anxious because I was still learning the job, but I think I developed the ability to think for myself about what was needed and take action instead of waiting for instructions, and the ability to proactively ask for support when needed. I am grateful that my OJT trainer was always watching over me and provided thorough support whenever I was in trouble or made a mistake.

In my second year, my supervisor suggested I try handling RPA tasks, which I had no prior experience with. I decided to accept because it seemed like it would contribute to improving operational efficiency. Initially, I struggled with the unfamiliar tasks, but I developed a mindset for systematizing operations. I believe that being able to view operational flows from the perspective of "what processes should be structured so that they can be automated by RPA in the future" will be a valuable asset going forward.
Even after my third year, I was given opportunities to take on challenges, even if they were tasks that were beyond my current capabilities. I always feel that the company culture is one where failures are never blamed, and everyone supports each other and takes on challenges together.

There are still challenges in the daily operations we handle, and rules and flows need to be changed to keep up with the times. Macnica has a culture of not being rigid and accepting change flexibly, so I think it's a very good company that is cooperative in proposing changes to existing processes and collaborating when actually changing operations.

MY VISIONFuture goals and aspirations

I want to build an operation that is easy for anyone to understand and process, and that prevents errors.
We aim to improve efficiency and quality through RPA, enabling us to handle the increasing volume of order processing without allocating significant manpower, thereby reducing employee workload and increasing organizational productivity. We also want to create a work environment where everyone can support each other, rather than one that relies on individual expertise, and we hope to contribute to creating a workplace where employees can work for a long time.

Furthermore, I want to be a trustworthy business person who maintains accurate deadline management and proper accounting practices, from the perspective of everyday business operations.
