The Intel® Quartus® Prime and Quartus® II development software have different lineups of supported device families depending on the version.

On this page, you will find the device families supported by the latest version of the Intel Quartus® Prime software and its most recent version in a correspondence table.

Please refer to the Intel® Quartus® Prime / Quartus® II Development Software Support Device List [latest version] for information on older versions and device families that are not listed on this page.

This page uses Google Chrome as the recommended web browser. If the table is not displayed correctly, please use Google Chrome or download the Intel® Quartus® Prime / Quartus® II Development Software Support Device Matrix [latest version].

For information on legacy devices (APEX® series, ACEX® series, FLEX® series), please refer to the legacy materials ver.14.0 or earlier.

See here for Intel® FPGA/CPLD development flow.

[Symbols] ●: Supported *(1)(2)(3) / ★: Supported / ▲: Supported only for some model numbers *(4) / ×: Not supported / -: Supported

*(1) Only some model numbers may be supported for the first few versions. Part numbers labeled as Advanced or Initial in the Quartus® Prime and Quartus® II device selection screens represent devices that will be supported in near future releases. Advanced part numbers can compile, simulate, perform timing analysis, and generate device pin-out information, but no programming files. Part numbers marked Initial can be compiled, simulated, and run timing analysis, but device pinout information and programming files will not be generated.

*(2) The timing model used for timing analysis may be Preliminary. Please check the Quartus Prime Standard Edition Software and Device Support Release Notes or the Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software and Device Support Release Notes for part numbers with fixed timing models. (See the documentation for your version in the "Table 2: Release Notes and readme.txt Files" on the destination web page.)

*(3) Please refer to "Quartus Prime Standard Edition Software and Device Support Release Notes" or "Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software and Device Support Release Notes" for supported model numbers. (See the documentation for your version in the "Table 2: Release Notes and readme.txt Files" on the destination web page.)

*(4) For Quartus® II Web Edition 12.0 and earlier, please search for Quartus® II Web Edition Definition from the Help menu of each version ⇒ Search Index. Starting with Quartus® II Web Edition 12.1 and Quartus® Prime Lite Edition, Arria® II supports EP2AGX45 devices only. Also, in Quartus ® II Web Edition 11.1 to 15.0, Cyclone ® V supports all part numbers except the highest density products.

*(5) Intel® Arria® 10 family limited development software called Quartus® II Arria® 10 Edition.

*(6) Quartus® II 14.0.2 (14.0 Udate2) or later is supported.

*(7) Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX devices can use the Pro Edition for free.

*(8) For Intel® Agilex® 7 FPGA device support, please contact your distributor's Intel FPGA representative.
