Instructions on how to download the Quartus® Prime software and Questa* - Intel® FPGA Edition for Intel® FPGA development.

Follow the flow below to execute the download.

1. We recommend using Google Chrome as the web browser for downloading.

(We have confirmed that Internet Explorer is unable to download various files required for development software.)

 

2. Starting with Quartus® Prime Standard and Lite Edition 21.1, and Quartus® Prime Pro Edition 21.3, ModelSim*-Intel® FPGA Edition

Replaced by Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition.

Visit Download Center

Access the web page FPGAs & Programmable Devices dedicated to Intel FPGAs and click [SUPPORT] from the menu on the upper left of the screen. From the submenu that appears, select Download Center.

On the “Download Drivers & Software” page, select “Intel® FPGAs” from the list of product selections.

Select version, edition and OS

After moving to “FPGA Software Download Center”, select the edition and version by "Filter by" located on the left side of the screen, and filter the desired Quartus® Prime.

From the results, select the Quartus® Prime that corresponds to your desired OS.

The Quartus® Prime download page with the specified content is displayed.

You can also switch versions here.

Select format to download

There are three types of files provided: [Complete Download], [Multiple Download], and [Individual Files]. You can choose according to your wishes.

■ Select the Complete Download tab

Associated software such as Quartus® Prime, Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition and all supported device files, etc.

Bundled .tar file.

You can select only the tools and device families you need during installation.

 

■ Select the Multiple Download tab

Quartus® Prime and all supported device files split into multiple .tar files.

You can select only the device families you need during installation.

 

■ Select the [Individual Files] tab

Separate files for Quartus® Prime, Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition, and supported device files.

Quartus® Prime does not include device files, so download the required qdz files from the Devices list.

Save the qdz file in the same folder as QuartusSetup-<version.build>-windows.exe / QuartusSetup-<version.build>-linux.run.

 

Supplement about other tabs.

The [Additional Software] tab is

Quartus® Prime Help, which allows you to view help information even in an offline environment, and Quartus® Prime Programmer and Tools, which are Programmer-only tools

is available.

 

The Updates tab is

Bug fix files and update files for the corresponding versions have been released.

Please install additionally to the normal version if necessary.
(Depending on the version, there may be no Updates tab.)

Select file to download

Click the banner with the desired filename.

Follow the instructions of the download manager of your web browser and specify the folder to save.

The file download process will start.

Check SHA1 hash value

After the download is complete, check the "SHA1 hash value" of each downloaded file to check if the file is damaged.

We recommend that you check it.

The SHA1 hash value of each file is published to the right of each download banner.

You can check the SHA1 hash value by the following method.

 

<For Windows>

Use the certutil command.

certutil -hashfile <ファイルパス> [ハッシュアルゴリズム] 例) certutil -hashfile C:\Quartus-21.1.0.842-windows-complete.tar SHA1

<For Linux>

Use the sha1sum command.

sha1sum <ファイルパス> 例) sha1sum /home/usr1/temp/Quartus-21.1.0.842-linux-complete.tar
