The "Heijo Palace Ruins Historical Park Smart Challenge" has been implemented by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism since 2019, and as part of its smart city initiatives, it aims to analyze the status of social experiments by businesses, the future prospects of new technologies, AI, IoT, etc. This is an initiative that aims to further improve the park's appeal by utilizing new technology to fundamentally solve the issues faced by parks and create services for park users. Based on the results of these social experiments, Macnica aims to commercialize it as a park service, and will work on the social implementation of micro robot taxis in urban development in Nara and other parts of Japan.

In this demonstration experiment, Macnica will be responsible for operation planning and operational service verification, Mopi will provide autonomous driving vehicles, autonomous driving systems, remote monitoring, vehicle reservations, and AI voice tourist guide system, and OST will link the system with social experiment vehicles. We will be responsible for engineering support and demonstration experiment operations to achieve this goal. In addition, through this demonstration experiment, Macnica will examine the operational and technical issues associated with autonomous driving using remote monitoring systems, and will proceed with consideration of service models that are more conscious of actual operations in order to put autonomous driving into practical use. I will continue to do so.

In addition, in order to realize safe autonomous driving vehicle operation, we will receive support from Sompo Japan Insurance Co., Ltd. for risk assessment related to the driving route, as we did last time, and carry out safe operation.
