3rd autonomous driving EXPO/Tokyo Exhibit Report

The 3rd autonomous driving EXPO/Tokyo was held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from January 15th to 17th, 2020. Our Macnica booth had more customers visit than last year. We would like to thank all of our customers for visiting our booth. In this column, we would like to once again introduce the contents of our booth.

One-stop solution for autonomous driving systems

autonomous driving requires various components such as vehicles, algorithms, sensor systems, and maps. In addition, there are many environmental factors that must be taken into consideration, such as the driving location, weather, and time of day. At Macnica, we offer one-stop solutions for optimal autonomous driving in line with these factors and customer requirements, and we would like to introduce examples of proposed full-stack solutions for Level 4 autonomous driving as well as related hardware and software. did.

Mobility solutions with SLAM technology

Spatial and stereoscopic recognition technology "SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)" uses sensor information such as cameras and LiDAR to estimate the self-position of the device and create a map of the surroundings at high speed and low load. By capturing the real world as 3D information in real time, it can be used in a wide range of applications such as autonomous driving, AR/VR/MR, drones, and robotics. At the exhibition booth, we introduced SLAM technology for autonomous driving with a live demonstration.

MaaS support solution

At Macnica, we provide a total service to meet customer needs, from consulting related to autonomous driving services in the MaaS area (vehicle selection, system requirements, etc.) to POC (problem extraction and improvement), and after-sales service after service introduction (maintenance, data utilization, etc.). We will provide support. At the exhibition booth, we introduced the latest sensor systems and visualization tools, along with examples of autonomous driving services.

Macnica handles Innoviz's high-performance automotive grade LiDAR. The company's "InnovizPro" is primarily targeted at the industrial market and is used in a variety of applications such as autonomous driving shuttles and social infrastructure. In addition, the next-generation product "InnovizOne" is scheduled to begin mass production at the end of 2021 as an automotive-grade LiDAR. At the exhibition booth, we introduced Innoviz's LiDAR products in a live demo.
