Nagoya autonomous driving EXPO Report

The 2nd autonomous driving EXPO was held at Port Messe Nagoya for three days from September 18th to 20th, 2019.
Our Macnica booth had more customers visit this year than last year.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of our customers for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit our booth.

In this column, we would like to introduce again the contents that were exhibited at our booth.

sensor solution

This time, as a sensor solution, Macnica will focus on Innoviz's LiDAR sensor, which we recently announced the agency agreement with.
We exhibited the LiDAR "InnovizPro™" currently in mass production and the LiDAR "InnovizOne™" for automotive use scheduled for mass production at the end of 2021.

At the booth, two units of "InnovizPro™" were used for a live demonstration, and customers were able to see the data actually acquired by LiDAR.
Through the demo, we received comments such as, "It looks like a photograph," "You can see the white lines," and "It's amazing how you can change your perspective." We hope that you will be able to experience the high performance of this product.

At the presentation corner, “Learn with Macnica!” "Introduction to LiDAR"
We introduced the basics of LiDAR sensor technology, such as "What is LiDAR?" and the fields of application of the sensor.
I think a lot of people stopped by and took an interest in this as well.

data solution

At the data solution booth related to autonomous driving, we exhibited "data collection x AI construction service" and "data visualization service".

In the "Data Collection x AI Construction Service" corner, we will introduce new services that use Macnica 's data collection vehicles to collect learning data, annotate, develop AI models, and even verify the quality of AI. I received.
We also introduce the generation of high-precision 3D maps needed for autonomous driving and the generation of training images using GAN (Generative Adversaria Networks). We received a lot of interest in GAN, and we received many questions.

We also introduced various services for the realization of autonomous driving, such as real-time demand forecasting for mobility services.

"Data Visualization Service" uses advanced GIS (geographic information system) mapping technology in the cloud to visualize various IoT data scattered on the edge.
We had a demonstration of a platform that visualizes on one map in real time. We believe that this service can be used not only for autonomous driving but also for various purposes such as multimodal systems and smart cities.

This time, our booth was visited not only by people engaged in the development of autonomous driving, but also by customers from various industries such as logistics, factories, and construction.
"I want to use AI to solve business problems", "I want to improve the accuracy of AI developed in-house", "How should AI be introduced", etc.
It was a good opportunity to realize once again that the problems faced by customers are diverse and to find hints for developing better services.

In addition to the services introduced at this EXPO, Macnica also offers a number of solutions that can solve customer issues, such as the provision of autonomous driving demonstration vehicles and sensor integration services, so if you have any problems, please feel free to contact us.
