Macnica and Zenmov Form Business Partnership for autonomous driving Mobility Business in the Middle East, Asia, and North America - Jointly Developing Sustainable Next-Generation Mobility Services Using Navya Mobility Products -

Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica") and Zenmov Inc. (headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Kiyoo Tanaka; hereinafter referred to as "Zenmov") are pleased to announce that they have entered into a business partnership agreement for the autonomous driving mobility business in the Middle East, Asia (excluding China and Japan) and North America, and will begin efforts to jointly develop and implement next-generation mobility services using products from Navya Mobility SAS ^* (hereinafter referred to as "Navya"), a subsidiary of Macnica.

■Background and purpose of the partnership
With urbanization and population growth, the development of sustainable transportation infrastructure has become a global challenge. The market for next-generation mobility services, including MaaS, autonomous driving, and EVs, is expanding rapidly, particularly in the Middle East, Asia, and North America. In the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates' "Dubai Smart City Strategy" and Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" have positioned improving public transportation efficiency and achieving zero emissions as key national policies. Meanwhile, in Asian countries such as Singapore and the Philippines, urban challenges such as easing congestion and streamlining logistics are becoming more serious, driving increasing demand for new mobility services that utilize digital technology. In North America, the spread of EVs and autonomous driving, coupled with state governments' investments in green infrastructure, has made innovation in the mobility field an essential theme.

■ Details of the initiative
The companies will jointly develop and provide next-generation mobility services that flexibly combine the traffic control infrastructure, vehicle management systems, etc. of both companies, centered on Navya Mobility's autonomous driving solutions, in accordance with the challenges and needs of each region. In addition, they will collaborate with local governments, transportation operators, and infrastructure-related companies in each country to rapidly implement the solutions in public transportation, airport transportation services, and other areas through demonstration experiments and pilot programs.

■ Future developments
The two companies plan to expand their services to the Middle East, Asia, and North America. They aim to build a sustainable and safe mobility society for the next generation by simultaneously improving traffic efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions, and enhancing user convenience in response to the social challenges and policy needs of each region. Furthermore, they will contribute to the widespread adoption of autonomous driving and MaaS solutions in each region.

* Navya Mobility SAS, headquartered in France, is a subsidiary of Macnica.
