Recycling trash generated at tourist spots on the spot! Resource circulation to promote to the world from the Yokohama Port Opening Festival

This initiative was made possible through collaboration with the Yokohama Junior Chamber of Commerce, a general incorporated association that is part of the Yokohama Port Opening Festival's organizing group. By recycling food waste and plastic waste generated at the festival on-site, it is a demonstration exhibition that aims to raise awareness of the waste problem in tourist destinations and give people a sense of the significance of resource circulation while still enjoying the festival.

One of the goals of the Yokohama Junior Chamber of Commerce (JCCI) is to spread and establish a circular economy in Yokohama City. With the desire to turn the Yokohama Port Opening Festival, Yokohama's representative civic festival, into "a festival that the world can be proud of that also incorporates resource circulation," they made this a reality by utilizing Macnica 's knowledge of resource circulation products and technologies.

On the day, we will also be holding a "Kids Recycling Challenge" event.
Those who bring plastic bottle caps will be exchanged for sweets, and there will be a study session on resource recycling and a tour of the equipment.
