Macnica signs "Collaboration Agreement for Social Implementation of Perovskite Solar Cells to Promote Decarbonization" with Kanagawa Prefecture and Pexel Technologies, represented by Project Professor Tsutomu Miyasaka - Promoting local production and consumption of energy to promote decarbonization -

Macnica announces today that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Pexel Technologies Inc., led by Professor Miyasaka of Keio University, a developer of perovskite solar cells, to promote the introduction of solar power generation for the realization of a decarbonized society and to demonstrate and promote the social implementation of perovskite solar cells and batteries.

Macnica, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Pexel Technologies will work together to implement perovskite solar cells, a next-generation solar cell that is thin, light, and flexible and is expected to enable large-scale power generation in urban areas, as well as the storage batteries that will be necessary for local production and consumption of electricity from renewable energy sources.
The three parties aim to achieve early implementation of perovskite solar cells and storage batteries in society, and will also disseminate information to the world, from Kanagawa Prefecture, about the convenience of solutions that utilize perovskite solar cells and storage batteries and their social contribution, thereby contributing to the promotion of a decarbonized society.

Macnica,Inc. has already started a perovskite solar cell demonstration project in Osanbashi, Yokohama, with the aim of mass producing perovskite solar cells, in response to the Ministry of the Environment's project selection. It has been decided to start selling 'Soldam', a storage battery that is cheap, safe, and 100% recyclable with a capacity of 7.2kw/h and above, and by collaborating with Kanagawa Prefecture, we are creating a decarbonized society where the public and private sectors come together. We aim to contribute to the construction of a decarbonized society through collaboration with Kanagawa Prefecture, promoting a partnership between the public and private sectors.

■About Macnica 's environmental solutions business
In addition to handling semiconductors, Macnica utilizes cutting-edge technology from around the world to work with various partner companies to solve environmental problems, and one of our efforts is to promote circular economy business. In addition to promoting "local production and local consumption of energy," which combines solar power generation and storage batteries and uses the generated energy without wasting it, we also promote "energy management systems" that manage energy usage and eliminate waste, reduce the volume of garbage, and conserve resources. We will contribute to the realization of a ``recycling-oriented society'' through garbage disposal machines that enable recycling.
