Macnica (hereinafter referred to as Macnica) and the MM Smart Solution Consortium Executive Committee (hereinafter referred to as MM Consortium), in cooperation with NTT Communications Corporation Corporation (hereinafter referred to as NTT Com), will develop Japan's first ``5G x stereophonic entertainment autonomous driving EV''. 1. background
In order to turn the Minato Mirai 21 district into a futuristic city where trials of cutting-edge technology are carried out every day, the MM Consortium is conducting activities such as supporting demonstration experiments in conjunction with the Yokohama Mirai Organization, a collaboration platform for the creation of innovation between industry, academia, and the public. This demonstration experiment will be carried out as a project selected by the MM Consortium's "MM Smart Solution Program * 1" as a demonstration experiment with an eye toward the implementation of autonomous driving linked to 5G communication in the Minato Mirai 21 area.

A remote monitoring display for autonomous driving EV buses will be installed at Macnica booth in Yokohama Hammerhead to inform visitors of the operating status of autonomous driving EV buses. A remote operation management system is a necessary platform to aim for unmanned operation of autonomous driving EV buses. 3. Role of each company
Macnica will prepare autonomous driving EV bus "ARMA", design and prepare the autonomous driving program for the autonomous driving EV bus, link the operator, tuning and remote monitoring system to the vehicle, and construct the system.
The MM Consortium will conduct public recruitment for demonstration solution projects and coordinate related parties.
Additionally, NTT Com will build a 5G environment within the same area.

Starting from last year's demonstration experiment on private land, we will now proceed with the implementation of autonomous driving EV buses in stages, linking this to demonstration experiments on public roads in the same area. Through this public road demonstration experiment, we will work to support innovation in a wide variety of industries and create a business ecosystem that leverages the town's potential, by taking into account not only technical issues but also business model verification. We will continue to develop advanced urban development.

*1: This program is a subsidy system for organizations and corporations that carry out creative and voluntary activities such as creating bustle, business opportunities, and building a safe and secure town in order to improve the attractiveness of the Minato Mirai 21 district. This project is being carried out using the Minato Mirai 21 Town Development Trust.
