In 2021, Nikken Kogyo Buzen Plant introduced ShinyU LED, which greatly contributes to energy saving and reduction of power consumption, in the second and third workshops, and in 2022, it was additionally installed in the eighth workshop.

In the workshops we planned to introduce, the ceilings of the buildings sometimes get hot in the summer, so we needed products that not only reduced power consumption, but also gave due consideration to durability.

ShinyU LEDs are highly robust and have a light source life of 72,000 hours, which contributes to reducing not only power consumption but also running costs. In addition, while general LED lighting guarantees performance at around 40°C, performance is guaranteed up to 50°C.

Currently, 21 ShinyU LED lights have been installed in the second and third workshops, and 32 new ShinyU LED lights have been installed in the eighth workshop. It also contributes to improving the quality of on-site work. Compared to the brightness of the mercury lamps before installation, the second and third workshops have a 204% increase in brightness, the east area of the eighth workshop has a 131% increase in brightness, and the southwest area has a brightness that can also be used as a workshop, increasing the brightness by 482%. realized. In addition, the No. 8 Workplace has achieved a 68.8% reduction in power consumption and a reduction in CO2 emissions of approximately 5,745 tons over 10 years, greatly contributing to the reduction of electricity costs and CO2 emissions.
