Macnica introduces high-efficiency industrial LED lighting to Nishitetsu Transport - Optical lenses significantly reduce power consumption and contribute to SDGs -

(Headquarters: ShinyU Light Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hsinchu County, Taiwan, Representative: Jinrong Xu, hereinafter ShinyU Light) is located in the second warehouse of the Kitakyushu branch of Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President: Eijiro Tanaka, hereinafter Nishitetsu Transport. Therefore, as one of the measures for SDGs, Nishitetsu Transportation Kitakyushu Branch introduced ShinyU LED, which can greatly reduce power consumption with optical lenses, to the second warehouse.

ShinyU LED uses a unique heat dissipation technology to create a single light source, enabling light distribution through an optical lens. By optimizing the illumination effect according to the surrounding environment, it is possible to reduce the amount of light in unnecessary areas and significantly reduce power consumption.

Since fixed shelves are installed in the warehouse, we implemented a light distribution design that collects light evenly in the aisle using a lens that can focus light to the required location, and the aisle between heavy racks where forklifts pass. A total of 27 lights were installed, 25 lights above and 2 lights under the eaves of the opening where the luggage is carried in. After installation, the uniform light makes it easier to perform detailed picking work, and has been evaluated as having improved work efficiency. In addition, by using an optical lens, we were able to secure a sufficient amount of light even with a 120W lighting that reduces power consumption.
