This demonstration experiment is part of the Haneda Airport Site Zone 1 Development Project (Phase 1 Project), targeting the entire town, which is a green field on the former airport site, and is capable of integrating, visualizing, and analyzing data using BIM Spatial Information Data Collaboration Platform” will be developed and will be a collaborative area for cutting-edge technologies, forming a testbed suitable for empirical efforts, developing initiatives that contribute to solving problems in Ota City, and implementing services at an early stage. One of our goals is to demonstrate the introduction of smart mobility, such as autonomous buses and autonomous low-speed electric carts.

Through demonstration experiments using autonomous low-speed electric carts, we will verify the effects of reducing movement stress and improving mobility in environments where pedestrians and vehicles are mixed. We will also demonstrate remote monitoring of mobility using an integrated control system.

The demonstration will be conducted using an 8-seater low-speed electric vehicle and an autonomous low-speed electric cart equipped with a computer vision module based on PerceptIn's proprietary technology (sensor fusion). Macnica provides operational support centered on engineering, such as map creation, ODD design, and software support necessary for autonomous driving. BOLDLY performs safe operation management through remote monitoring by connecting the autonomous driving vehicle operation platform "Dispatcher" to PerceptIn's autonomous low-speed electric cart. In addition, Sompo Japan provides automobile insurance for autonomous driving and risk assessments in the areas and routes where autonomous driving is introduced to reduce operational risks.

Macnica will provide operational support centered on engineering for this demonstration experiment, and will utilize the results and knowledge obtained from the experiment to expand the scope of the service and stabilize the service for future social implementation. We will proceed step by step.
