(Head Office: California, USA, CEO: Bibhrajit Halder) to provide a total solution for construction machinery automation.

The construction industry has been facing a global labor shortage for the past decade, and the recent COVID-19-19 outbreak has exacerbated the shortage of field talent. The impact is particularly large in Japan, where the average age of workers is rising rapidly due to the declining birthrate and aging population. In addition, the operation of construction machinery is largely dependent on the knowledge and experience of skilled workers, and there is also the problem of not being able to secure sufficient operators. Automation of construction machinery is one of the effective means to solve this problem, but the development of automation cannot keep up with demand.

In this context, SafeAI, which will begin a partnership with us, was one of the first to focus on the above issues, and was founded with the concept of "automation of construction machinery" by members who had previously been involved in the development of construction machinery automation. SafeAI has strengths in open source software platforms that realize path planning and perception, etc., specialized for construction machinery, and by combining Macnica 's expanding lineup of 3D sensors such as LiDAR and stereo cameras and technologies such as SLAM, it will build optimal total solutions for construction machinery automation and provide them to construction machinery manufacturers. In addition, we are planning to develop a unit that will be attached to construction machinery as a retrofit module to realize work automation. We plan to provide this unit to general construction companies, including maintenance after actual operation.
