Chapter 1Solve Social Issues with Technology

The Customer Success Office that I belong to is a new department that has just been established. Our mission is to utilize cutting-edge technologies such as AI to create unprecedented business models and solve social issues. With the thoughts of ``creating a business model that will become a new pillar for Macnica'' and ``contributing to the world through technology'' in mind, we are working on formulating business strategies and making proposals to customers.

I am mainly in charge of a video analysis service that detects and reports abnormalities and signs of accidents and suspicious behavior. It is a new service that utilizes AI and is used for security of buildings and shopping centers. Currently, the facility management industry is facing a serious labor shortage, making it difficult to sustain the current system that requires a lot of human resources. Especially in the field of security, realization of a sustainable and efficient system is required from the viewpoint of playing an important role in protecting the safety and security of facilities.

In the midst of such social issues, the number of companies that have introduced the services I am in charge of is increasing day by day, and we are already moving from the business launch phase to the phase of increasing our achievements. I sometimes feel pressure from the high expectations of the company, but I am working with a strong desire to "spread this technology around the world and solve social issues."

Chapter 2We Are Committed to a Thorough Hands-on Approach

What I value in my work is to "listen to the voices of the field." The customer who introduced our video analysis service for the first time was a developer company with a large number of commercial facilities in rural areas. It took about a year from the initial proposal to the conclusion of the contract, but the road was by no means an easy one. At the beginning of the proposal, we were dealing with cutting-edge AI, but we lacked knowledge of the security industry and could not make concrete proposals that matched the current situation of the customer. It ended up being an explanation of "technology that we can provide." Therefore, I decided to create a proposal that is close to the customer, so I visited the security site many times and asked, "What kind of work do the security guards do?" We carefully interviewed from various angles such as "Are you focusing on it?", and identified the problems occurring at the site. As a result, we were able to create a proposal that was conscious of the real site, and we were able to have the customer decide to introduce the service.

In another security project, we used our AI to detect suspicious behavior, and then created a system that would remotely call out to the target instead of sending security guards to the site, further improving work efficiency. This proposal was made possible because I was able to talk directly to the people on the ground and understand what would benefit the customer. Macnica 's engineers have high technical skills that allow them to immediately reflect customer opinions and requests in our services. If I can catch the needs of our customers on the ground, our engineers will create a solution to solve them, so it is important that I can absorb as many "voices" as possible from our customers. Nowadays, online meetings have become commonplace in the world, but the "voices" of our customers can only be heard on the ground, so I would like to continue to adhere to the "on-site approach" in the future.

Chapter 3I Want to Do Work That Makes an Impact on the World.

I want to use AI to create businesses that can have an even bigger impact on the world in the future. First of all, I want to expand the use of the video analysis services we currently provide so that they can be used not only for anomaly and early warning detection in the security field, but also for marketing analysis. Furthermore, depending on the issues our customers face, there are some cases that cannot be resolved by providing this service alone, so we will also take on the challenge of creating services with even greater added value by combining the various cutting-edge technologies that Macnica handles.

Also, I would like to launch an AI solution business that is completely different from the fields I have been doing so far. I am particularly interested in the entertainment industry. The possibilities of AI are endless, so we believe that we can also provide solutions to solve problems in the fields of music, movies, and sports.

I feel that the ability to take on challenges such as leveraging cutting-edge technology to provide new value to society and creating something unprecedented at my own discretion is unique to Macnica, which delegates authority to young employees and supports them. I am. There are still many things I want to do, so it will be very challenging, but I will do my best to create a future that no one has ever achieved before!

Future Goals/Aspirations

I have two goals for the future. The first is to maximize your own value. For that reason, I try not to rely too much on my team members when faced with difficult tasks, and try to do what I can on my own as much as possible. The second is to be able to handle a larger scale business by myself. I will continue to actively take on various challenges on a daily basis and surpass my excellent superiors and seniors.
