Chapter 1As a Business, Save Trust

I have been consistently involved in the semiconductor business since joining the company, but from 2022 I will also be involved in the security and Network business segment as a concurrent position, and am working hard to expand the business. The sales headquarters that I belong to is a department that can propose almost all the products that Macnica handles, and is able to respond to a wide range of customer requests. Inside the company, we have a department that deals with customer sales, which is called field sales (FS). Our main mission is to accurately understand our suppliers' products and match them with the needs of our customers. The customers we work with develop a wide range of equipment, including household appliances, medical equipment, and equipment related to networks and infrastructure, and they use many of the semiconductors we provide. We are proud that our work supports the ``normal'' aspects of life and contributes to many people, so it is a very rewarding job. We also sometimes receive requests for product proposals for the development of equipment that will "create the future" several years from now. One of the best parts of this job is being able to help create the future by proposing cutting-edge technology to customers who are trying to create something that doesn't exist in the world yet.

We, as field sales, may take on the task of dealing with troubles, but I think the important thing is to keep a "savings of trust" for our customers on a daily basis. In business, it is not possible to meet all the needs of our customers, so we field sales must not be just a "go-to" for our customers. Especially in recent years, due to the tight supply and demand of semiconductors, delivery troubles, soaring product prices, sudden production stoppage orders by suppliers, etc. have frequently occurred, and we have no choice but to make strict demands for our customers. There are many situations. In order to be satisfied even in such a situation, it is essential to face and respond to customers sincerely in daily sales activities and to create "reliable savings".

Chapter 2Face Troubles Honestly Without Running Away

I can say this now, but actually, before I joined Macnica, I was worried about whether I would really be able to succeed. Looking around at my peers, let alone my seniors, I saw that everyone was excellent, and I had a kind of inferiority complex. Therefore, I remember arriving on my first day with the thought, "No matter what department I'm assigned to, I'll just hang in there." However, when I actually joined the company, the work was much harder than I had imagined, right from my first year. I made repeated mistakes, and it was several months later than my peers and past seniors that I was able to work independently as a salesperson. Even after that, the work was very difficult, and I experienced many really tough times during my first three years.

I used to be like that, but recently, I've heard more and more people say, "I've grown so much since I was young." I have. What I have valued up to this point is that I will not run away. No matter what difficulties arise, I have always made a point of facing them head-on. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, troubles do occur, as we do a lot of large-scale transactions. Although it is inherently undesirable, there are times when we cause inconvenience to our customers due to product failures or delivery delays that we deliver. Even in such a situation, respond sincerely without running away. Rather, when a problem arises, we see it as an opportunity to win the trust of our customers, and work closely with our customers to quickly resolve the problem. Also, by proactively responding to problems, you can be in a position where the company can rely on you. By working with this mindset, both customers and internal members have come to say, "If we have troubles with Mr. Yoshida, we can overcome them together." I would like to continue to work honestly without running away from it so that people will say, "Yoshida is there for field sales."

Chapter 3I Want to Be a Company That Changes the Way Business Is Done.

I think Macnica is currently facing a period of change. Since its founding as a trading company specializing in semiconductors, Macnica has expanded its business using a business model of purchasing and selling products. We are demonstrating added value through technical support and logistics management, but in order to achieve further development in the future, we need to build a business model that creates new added value. Currently, I am working on a new initiative to change Macnica 's way of dealing with customers. Until now, Macnica has been a "supplier" that provides products to customers. The customer is planning to develop some type of equipment, and there are already issues to be solved in the development process, and we propose solutions to those issues. However, in the future, we would like to build a business scheme that allows us to contribute not only to the customer's equipment development stage, but also to the development planning and equipment sales phases. We believe that by doing this, we will be able to become not just a ``supplier'' but a ``business partner'' in the true sense of the word for our customers, and we will be able to demonstrate unprecedented value. Macnica has a deep-rooted culture that encourages people to try new things. As Macnica 's ``first penguin,'' I want to actively work on things that no one else has tried before.

Future Goals/Aspirations

I want to be an indispensable person for Macnica to evolve from a technology trading company to Services & Solutions provider. The customer I am currently in charge of is mainly involved in the semiconductor business, but by taking the leadership role and creating businesses other than semiconductors together with the customer, I hope to contribute to Macnica 's growth as Services & Solutions provider.
