"Japanese-style Digital Manufacturing achieved through cross-departmental data integration and human intelligence ─ Recommendation for the 'Digital Triplet'"
In Europe and the United States, where decision-making is dominated by top management, compared with Japan, where the field is stronger, it was essential to take into account the differences in behavioral patterns, which are not necessarily good or bad, in order to succeed.
Japanese manufacturing companies understand these differences and run their operations while making full use of on-site knowledge. By focusing on "human knowledge" that cannot be expressed through digitalization and standardization alone, they are putting Japanese-style DX into practice. To achieve this, they have created a system called "Digital Triplet," which combines the real and cyber worlds, and knowledge and the model world.
In this lecture, based on the concept of the digital triplet, we will approach from both theoretical and practical perspectives the uniquely Japanese method of data collaboration across departments and how to leverage digital technology.
