(headquarters: Ikuno-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Sugimoto Masashi; hereinafter referred to as Rohto Pharmaceutical)'s cross-departmental digital transformation project using the low-code development platform "Mendix ^{* 1}."

Background
Rohto Pharmaceutical has set a corporate vision of "Connect for Well-being" to create a world where people around the world can live happy, healthy lives, full of smiles and vitality in both body and mind, at all stages of life. Under this vision, the company is engaged in a wide range of businesses, including over-the-counter drugs, skin care, functional foods and foods, medical ophthalmology, and regenerative medicine.
Since 2021, the company has been promoting a company-wide DX project consisting of various departments involved in production and procurement. In the engineering chain reform project, where the burden of managing information scattered throughout the company was an issue, and in the supply chain reform project aimed at aggregating information and understanding progress across departments, there were issues with the lack of personnel familiar with requirement definition and business standardization, which was taking up a lot of time.
To solve this problem, Macnica was involved in order to supplement the capabilities that were lacking in the project and to support the development of human resources for in-house DX through the project.
