ESCRYPT's Intrusion Detection and Prevention solution reliably protects vehicles on the road against cyber attacks. The central integrated component of this turnkey solution is ESCRYPT CycurIDS, which recognizes anomalies in in-vehicle communication partly based on known attack patterns and partly based on comparing current communication with expected communication behavior. In this way, ESCRYPT CycurIDS provides powerful real-time detection and prevents malicious communications from reaching safety-critical systems in the vehicle unnoticed. ESCRYPT CycurGATE is a firewall for various in-vehicle network technologies (CAN, Ethernet) that can be easily integrated into existing systems.

ESCRYPT CycurGATE blocks attempts to send commands to individual ECUs or to the entire network based on the application of a communication policy, which modifies whitelists (allowing only explicitly specified communication flows) with blacklists (preventing known attacks). As a preventative measure, the applied firewall rule set can be updated with new or revised rules.
