Credo
Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd. (hereinafter, Credo) is a global manufacturer of high-speed, low-power, and highly reliable interconnect products for AI/ML, cloud, and hyperscale data centers. We offer a wide range of high-speed connection technologies essential for next-generation AI clusters, includingActive Electrical Cable (AEC) and ZeroFlap Optics (ZF Optics).
product
Active Electrical Cable (AEC)
AEC (Active Electrical Cable) isa smart cable with a "zero link flap" and is primarily used in high-speed communication environments such as data centers.
Credo's AECperforms high-speed communication using only electrical signals as an alternative to optical modules, and has the following features:
・A wide lineup of 100G / 200G / 400G / 800G / 1.6T
-Supports intra-rack and inter-rack connections with cable lengths up to 7m
- Up to 75% lighter and more space-saving than DAC
・Up to 50% power saving compared to AOC
・ Zero-link flap has been proven to operate reliablyin the field for over 6 billion hours
-High reliability withan MTBF (mean time between failures) of over 1 million hours
Why choose AEC?
Soft errors (link flaps) in optical modules are a serious problem in AI clusters. Inlarge-scaleAI clusters, link flaps can occurevery few minutes to every few tens of seconds. AECachieves zero link flaps, significantly contributing to the stable operation of GPU clusters.
ZeroFlap Optics (ZF Optics)
ZeroFlap Optics (ZF Optics) is an optical transceiver designed to solve the soft error (link flap) problem of optical modules in AI backend networks.
In addition to strengthening the optical components, the combination of real-time monitoring and diagnosis using PILOT software provides high reliability not possible with conventional optical modules.
・Eliminates soft errors (momentary communication interruptions) that are common in optical modules
・SupportsAI clusters with a transmission distance of up to 1km
- Error telemetry for each segment enables real-time monitoring and predictive abnormality detection, accelerating troubleshooting.
・Remote diagnostics and firmware updates allow module status to be checked and updated even during operation.
Why choose ZF Optics?
As the size of an AI cluster increases, optical module link flaps increase exponentially, resulting in reduced GPU utilization, training job failures, and network congestion.
ZF Optics fundamentally improves these problems through predictive detection, visualization and management.
