What kind of hardware and software do you need?

GitHub Enterprise is provided as an AMI (Amazon Machine Instance) or a virtual machine image that includes all the software necessary to run it. Customers are required to provide a compatible virtualization environment.

Below is the minimum recommended configuration.

  • CPU: 3.0GHz CPU x 2
  • Memory: 14-16GB
  • Disk: 80GB (VM Root Partition), 100GB (Data Partition)
  • Storage: SAN or local disk recommended
