AMD RyzenTM AI 300 Series Processor-Based AI PC with Parade PS8833 USB4/TBT4 Retimer

SAN JOSE, CA: August 5, 2024 - Parade Technologies, Ltd., a leading supplier of high-speed interface, video display and touch controller ICs, announced that it will ship AI PCs with AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors with PS8833 USB4/TBT4 retimers. The processors feature new "Zen5" high-performance CPU cores and an integrated AI Engine for enhanced AI performance. USB4 is becoming more widely used in laptops and desktop PCs.

The PS8833 USB4/TBT4 retimer is optimized for AMD's new AI-enhanced processor platform. OEMs can also easily upgrade their existing platforms from the PS8830 USB3/TBT4 retimer to extend product life. The PS8833 complies with the USB-IF USB4 specification up to Gen3 or 40Gbps (2x 20Gbps) and Thunderbolt4 with TBT3.0 up to 41.25Gbps (2x 20.625Gbps). USB4 tunneling with DP2.1 Alt mode (up to UHBR20) and DP3.2 is supported. The PS8833 features low power consumption and low power states during USB4 operation, greatly extending battery power operation.

• PS8419A/PS8219/PS8210: Now in production in 46-pin 4.5 x 6.5mm QFN package
• PS8811: Now in production in a 36-pin 4.2 x 4.2 mm QFN package
