PS8219

Low power HDMI™ level shifter and redriver. Supports both AC and DC coupled TMDS™ input signals up to 6.0Gbps and FRL input signals up to 12Gbps. Device operation and configuration, including redriver equalization settings, can be controlled through pin settings or the I2C bus. Automatic power-down and squelch allow flexible power management.

PS8419

An HDMI™ retimer that removes jitter and fully supports HDMI™ 2.1 by supporting FRL data rates up to 12Gbps and TMDS™ data rates up to 6Gbps. The device integrates a jitter-tolerant FRL/TMDS receiver and a jitter-cleaning retiming transmitter for HDMI™ repeater applications. It removes both data and clock jitter and timing skew between data and clock channels, providing a compliant, very low jitter HDMI™ output.

Ideal for source, sink, and repeater device applications that require lane skew removal as well as jitter removal from FRL signals or TMDS™ clock and data signals. Such requirements exist on HDMI™ source devices to remove Tx jitter and/or induced media (transmission path) jitter, especially to meet HDMI™ output jitter requirements at higher transport clock rates. You may. It can also be used as a repeater near the input connector in an HDMI™ repeater or sink device to improve receiver performance margins. Signal integrity can be further optimized using the PS8419's programmable input equalization and output pre-emphasis controls.

Additionally, it can be used as a dual-mode DisplayPort™ level shifter on a motherboard or graphics card, or within a Type2 dual-mode DisplayPort™ (DP++) cable adapter. This device includes a VESA® dual-mode DisplayPort™ Type2 cable adapter DDC resistor and also includes an AUX to I2C bridge, allowing you to use DisplayPort™ AUX on the source input side. Type2 registers allow the GPU to use standard dual-mode DisplayPort™ Type2 adapter drivers to change device settings and identify capabilities.
