The Altera® FPGA & Programmable Devices homepage requires you to sign in to access some pages (such as the Intel® FPGA Self-Service Licensing Center), so many people probably have an "Intel Account."
One of the authentication methods used when signing in is the smartphone (hereinafter referred to as smartphone) app "Microsoft Authenticator".
If you change your smartphone model, you will also need to migrate this Microsoft Authenticator.
Here, we will guide you through the migration process of Microsoft Authenticator.
Please note that you should migrate Microsoft Authenticator before discarding your old smartphone.
If you forget to migrate to a new smartphone, you may not be able to authenticate and be unable to sign in. please note.
Microsoft Authenticator migration process
①In advance, install the dedicated app "Microsoft Authenticator"on the new smartphone you will use for authentication.
② Access https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info?tenant=intel.com from any device (a computer is recommended).
If you are prompted for sign-in and multi-factor authentication (hereinafter referred to as MFA), authenticate accordingly.
③ Registered security information will be displayed.
Please make sure that the smartphone information displayed on Microsoft Authenticator is the model you have been using.
At this time, be sure to check that in the organization information displayed, [Sign in as] is set to Intel Corporation.
If your company is listed under Sign in as, click Intel Corporation under Other organizations to switch.
④ Click [+ Add sign-in method] and follow the on-screen instructions to set up Microsoft Authenticator on your new smartphone.
④-1. Select [Authentication app] as the authentication method and click the [Add] button.
④-2. The following screen will be displayed, so click the [Next] button.
④-3. The following screen will be displayed, so click the [Next] button.
④-4. A QR code will be displayed on the computer screen. Launch the Microsoft Authenticator you installed on your new phone and scan this QR code.
After scanning the QR code, click the Next button.
④-5. An authentication number will be displayed on your computer screen. Enter that number into Microsoft Authenticator on your smartphone and select [Yes].
④-6.It will be displayed that it has been approved. Click the Next button.
This completes the setup of Microsoft Authenticator.
⑤ You can confirm that the new smartphone information has been added to your computer's security information.
⑥ If you no longer need the registered information for your previously used smartphone, delete it from the list shown above.
Now you can use your new smartphone to authenticate with Microsoft Authenticator as before.
